"It is an honour that the Jedi Council thinks highly of me." Padme smiled, sitting down in the chair. "I just like knowing that what I do makes a difference for my people as well as others." She picked up the napkin and placed it on her lap. "I don't know what the droids made for dinner tonight. I doubt they were expecting the both of us to be here."

With hint of a smile on his lips Anakin sat on the other side of the table, saying, "Yes, it seems that they were." He placed his own napkin on his lap, asking Padme, "But enough of this all talk about work. How have the things been here in the city? Have you been well?"

Padme took a sip of water before answering. "I have been alright, but I'm much happier that you're home Ani." She smiled, picking up her fork. "The senate has kept me busy, but every now and then I manage to take a walk or two around the city." She blushed, making sure she left out that she always ended up infront of the Jedi temple. "I met a fellow Jedi Knight the other day, she seemed very kind."

Anakin looked at the droids as they brought the food to the table. The dinner was fine enough, as if made in some rather expensive restaurant. Droids had truly gone over their abilities this time. He turned his eyes at Padme. "Oh. Who did you meet?" he asked, taking a small bite off his fork. He smiled, nodding at the droid waiting near the table, giving it the permission to leave.

"Lienna Krestor," Padme replied, in between bites of food. "We bumped into each other and got to talking. She seems like a very nice person." She took another sip of water. "How are you enjoying the food? I'm sure it's better than what you get when you're out on the battle field."

Anakin nodded slightly. "I know Lienna only slightly, but she seems to be good enough as a person. And I hear that she is a good friend of Qui-Gon's." Smiling broadly, Anakin added, "And it seems that, according to the rumors, I'm not the only one within the Jedi Order. I have heard that there might be something more between Lienna and Qui-Gon, but as always, rumors are only rumors."
"The food is excellent. The meals in the field are often quickly made and small, only big enough to bring the needed energy." Looking around, Anakin asked, "Have you bought new droids? Because this food sure seems... more delicate than usually? It might be, though, that I have been used to the field meals so much that I don't see any difference between ordinary meal and a fine meal", he laughed.

"If that is in fact the case, then I think the council should allow relationships for the Jedis." Padme said, putting down her fork.
"And no, I haven't bought new droids, they're the same as always. You're just away for too long to remember what palpatable food tastes like." She teased, her eyes shining.

Anakin laughed. "Yes, that must be it." Sighing, he then said, "The Council is... somewhat held back by their traditions. I do not know if many know about the rumour about Qui-Gon, but I think that most of them hold their tongues due to loyalty. Qui-Gon has many friends inside the Jedi Order, one of them being Master Windu and none less." He smiled. "And with friendship you get far inside the Jedi Order."
"But now", he finally said, after a short silence, "I am home and I intend to stay as long as I can. I have no rush to return back to the battlefields, and if I am not called, I will not answer the call, I promise you that, my love."

"I'm glad to finally have some quality time alone with you." she said contently "Even if we have to stay quiet about it." Padme folded her napkin on her now empty plate. "That was a wonderful meal." She added, pushing out from the table. "Now, what would you like to do with this free time Ani?" A glint of curiosity shone in her eyes.

Smiling, Anakin rose and walked to help his wife out of her chair. "Would you like to go out for a walk? It's a warm enough outside, and I would like to walk the stiffness out of myself before I fall asleep standing on my feet."

"A walk sounds like a wonderful idea." Padme smiled, accepting Anakin's help out of the chair. "It's too bad we're not back on Naboo. We could go walking through the the fields like we did before." She sighed, feeling a little home sick. "Shall we walk to whereever our feet take us?"

Anakin nodded, delighted by the idea. "Yes, we will. As we did back then." He smiled, putting his arm around his wife, saying, "I wish I could spend more time with you. I really do." Sighing, he said, "And sometimes I think about leaving the Jedi Order, for good. It feels that... like the Order was trying to rip us apart." Grimacing at his own bitter words, he said, "Now is not the time to worry, though. I'm sorry."
Anakin smiled slightly, saying, "I think spending a night out once in a while would be a good idea. So, shall we go?"

"Yes, let us go." Padme answered, leaning against Anakin. "I don't think the council is trying to rip us apart." She said, as they moved towards the elevator. "Although hopefully no one will question the two of us being out together." Again, she stood on her toes and kissed Anakin on the cheek.

As the elevator descended towards the bottom floor, Anakian looked through the wall made of glass into the busy city of Coruscant. After a while he realized he had been staring into emptiness for some while, shaking his head quickly and giving an apologizing smile to his wife. "I'm sorry. Distracted again. But this time not about work, but... I wish we still were on Naboo. I really wish." He sighed heavily, saying then, "Everything seemed so much simpler when we were there, didn't it? Just the two of us. No Senate, no Jedi Order... nothing."

"But if things were simple, life would be dull, boring." Padme said, as the doors opened. "Atleast you get to travel, and make a difference. I stay here and try to make a difference," She said, then stopped herself. "Listen to me, I'm rambling. You always seem to have that effect on me." She laughed. "How about we plan a trip to Naboo, to get some alone time?"
