After Obi-Wan and his master Qui-Gon Jinn left Padme and the others to capture the Viceroy, the two jedi found themselves encountered with a new sith. It was that strange sith that they had met on Tatooine. Why was he here? Was he allied with the Viceroy? There is a time for questions later, but right now Obi-Wan had to help Qui-Gon vanquish the sith.
Obi-Wan found himself next to his master Qui-Gon Jinn. Both he and his master glared at Darth Maul. It was Maul who did the first move, igniting his saber. Really asking that he wanted a fight. He saw that his master had ignited his saber. And Obi-Wan did the same. His saber shot out making the normal sound it would.
Obi-Wan was ready to fight Darth Maul. Weather Qui-Gon or Darth Maul attacked, Obi-Wan would step in. Obi-Wan was In a tight situation, he wondered how the others were doing fighting the droids, then he wondered how the gungans were doing. They were all also in tight situations.

Qui Gon jinn stood beside his apprentice Obi Wan and oppisite a newly encountered Sith. His feet grounded and his Lightsaber poised and ready to fight. His Blue eyes stared intently on Darth Maul cooly calculating his moves. Quickly looking around them too see if Qui Gon could use anything of the terrain as a weapon. "Remember Obi-Wan You don't always have to rely on your jedi powers use resources, like traps to defeat your enemy." speaking to Obi-Wan Qui Gon slowly turned his head owards his young padawan but kept his eyes on Darth Maul.

Darth Maul stood on the other side of the hall, and ahead of him stood those two jedi's, other the master and other the apprentice, who he had confronted earlier on Tatooine. He smiled slightly, feeling the excitement of the upcoming battle rush into his veins. He knew that he had been sent to guard his master's interests here on Tatooine, but this had become something deeper, something more important to Darth Maul - it had become personal.
He felt himself oddly relaxed as he stood watching those two. He saw the other, the apprentice, move nervously, and he knew whom he would strike first. His major opponent, or so he regarded, was the older jedi. Even though he didn't know much about the aging of men, he still knew that the man was middle-aged - had he been ten years or so older, he would've not been, so Darth Maul believed, any threat to a warrior with skills of his own.
Making up his mind, Darth Maul, with surprising speed, grabbed the handle of the two-bladed lightsaber he carried on his right side and dashed toward the jedi apprentice, his feet barely hitting the ground as he ran.

The thought of Padme and the others engaged with the battle droids overwhelmed Obi-Wans mind. There were so little of the party. And so many of the droids. The evil Viceroy had probably captured them by now. No, Obi-Wan could not look at the dark side of it. Their was still hope. They had a well out and tactical plan.
Before Obi-Wan could think on Darth Maul had made the first move. Obi-Wan was back in reality as in a split second he noticed his long blue saber had met the deadly red one of Darth Maul, who had just dashed at Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan was lucky to still be alive. Before he knew it Qui-Gon had stepped in battling Darth Maul. He still had to be more aware and fast. He could not let his dear master down. Now Qui-Gon had occupied Maul for three or four seconds, Obi-Wan jumped behind Maul. Swinging his saber down aiming right at the dreaded sith.

Qui-Gon glanced at Obi-Wan with slight disappointment. "Be mindful of the here and now my padawan", he scowled as saber blades danced around him. "I still sense the other are in good conditions", he read his apprentice's mind. Qui-Gon corkscrewed in the air and landed gently behind maul, He reignited his saber and spun his blade toward Maul vigorisly. Obi-Wan had his handful at the front. Qui-Gon hesitated and his blade richochetted off the sith's crimson double bladed saber. He continued his rear assault on the skilled sith...this would be tough...

Darth Maul jumped a few steps back, satisfied by the fact that these two opponents of his weren't those fools that he had expected them to be - skilled enough with their lighsabers, but still he thought to himself, below his skills. He gritted his teeth as he focused on the jedi master rather than the apprentice - he had noticed how the apprentice's mind wavered for a moment, and his mind was racing to find a way to distract the young padawan from his task. But Maul was not a master of deception like his master, and he had only little understanding for the normal mind of a human - the hatred he had carried inside him from the first steps of his sith training had consumed all compassion and empathy.
Suddenly he dived under the swing from the lightsaber of the padawan, towards Qui-Gon, his teeth glenched together and his eyes flaming with pure hatred - his intention being that he would press the jedi master to a corner where this could no longer move freely and he could finish the battle off quickly.
Releasing an eerie shriek Darth Maul finally jumped high into air, the other blade of his lightsaber suddenly vanishing into the handle of the weapon, and he struck with the whole strength of the jump and his falling body...

The Jedi are engaged in a fierce sword fight with Darth Maul. They have moved into the center of the hanger. The Sith lord's moves are incredible. He was fighting the two Jedi at once, flipping into the air, outmaneuvering them at every turn. The sound of gun fire could be heard from the other room. But he would not let that sound distract him.
Darth Maul had jumped in the air, using the force to grant him more speed and height. Obi-Wan quickly took large steps back. Allowing him to land before he would charge at Maul. As Maul began landing, Obi-Wan quickly ran towards the Sith. Making a short leap directly towards him swinging for an attack aimed right at him

This sith came down upon him with such force, his padawan ultimately slowed down the jump attack. Qui-Gon planted his feet, but still the attack hurled him of guard momentarily. Qui-Gon continualy slashed and parried, he hoisted a chunk of scrap with the force and flung it at a control panel. Qui-Gon pushed the battle into the Theed palace energy core. The thin bridges tested the trio's balance. In the background red energy sheilds simeotanieously turned on and off. Qui-Gon flipped over Maul blade and slashed at his legs...

As he descended, Maul could see what Qui-Gon was planning - swinging at his feet - and he quickly jumped into the air, drawing his knees close to his chest, and knowing the padawan closing he kept his knees close to his chest, landing crouched and rolling right, as the red energy shields turned off, rolling so that the energy shield was left between him and two jedi's. He smiled grimly - this was the most entertaining battle he had been involved for a long, long time - the challenge was intriguing, indeed.
Suddenly he started to weave a steady pattern with his staff-like lightsaber, the weapon forming a red web between himself and the two jedi, thus forming a seemingly unpenetrateable defense as he started to look at his surroundings, looking for something to use against the two - terrain was his only advantage, as he was facing two enemies instead of one. Had there been but one, Maul was confident that he would've won the other - but they were two, and because of their numbers they could well press him into a corner where there would be no escape.
He turned his eyes on the two jedi's as the red energy shield shimmered and was turned off.
