Nute Gunray awaited on the great city of Theeds ship hanger. Nute Gunray, surrounded by a group of battle droids and some droidekas, awaited for a certain sith to enter his newly claimed city. Nute had been given orders from lord Sidious himself to meet with his mysterious apprentice. It is said he is to help defeat the Gungans, jedi and the resistance.
Nute then gave a devilish smile at the sight if a sith infiltrator flying across the sun and down to the hanger. It was Darth Maul who the Viceroy had expected. Nutes droids griped their weapons. "Lower your weapons captain. We are awaiting him to aid us." Nute commanded. "Roger, Roger!" The droid replied as he and the others lowered their weapons as told.

When arriving from the ship that had been granted for his use, Darth Maul saw the droids with their weapons raised. He smiled at the thought that Nute Gunray actually would've thought simple droids would ever manage to harm him. He felt irritated by this man who was hiding behind the horde of his droids, but Darth Maul had been sent on a mission, mission that he shouldn't - a mission that he wouldn't - fail. The orders from his master had been quite clear.
Striding through the space between them with long steps, Darth Maul hid his face, covered with sith tattoo's, under the hood of his black robes - for even if there was only a slight possibility that someone would be able to be present in their private meeting, there still was the slight chance, and if knowledge about Sith precense would spread across the galaxy at this point - when it wasn't profitable for the sith just yet - would be disastruous.
"Ah. Nute Gunray. My master has told me... a lot about you."

Darth Maul's ship had landed, and coming out was non other then the sith himself. Nute Gunray didn't trust this sith. Also his master Darth Sidious who he was in liege with. The moment things had been getting out of hand, and their was trouble with the senate and the Republic. Another sith has popped out from nowhere. First Lord Sidious, now Lord Maul. "Welcome Lord Maul, We have been expecting you."
"Ah. Nute Gunray. My master has told me... a lot about you."
"I am very pleased he has. I believe he has told you that I am the Viceroy of the Trade Federation. And now I am king of Naboo." Nute introduced himself. "Hopefully we can work together, to crush all resistance and put an end to Queen Amidala herself." Nute stated quite proudly.

Nodding slightly, Darth Maul came closer, now standing near the Viceroy. "Yes, we will. My liege has commanded me to work with you - or should I say, for you. But do not take my words wrong, Viceroy. I will take orders from no-one else but my liege, but you can trust that his and your best interests are the same in this one."
Smiling slightly, Darth Maul glanced around him. "Queen Amidala must die. And I am the one who has been sent to kill her."

Nute felt as if Darth Maul was rushing too far. "Yes of course she shall be killed. But before she can fall before you my lord. She must sign a treaty, allowing the entire planet to officially belong to the Trade Federation." Nute clicked his green fingers. And immediately a battle droid held the treaty. "Roger, Roger!" It said, cooperating.
Nute looked at the treaty, then back at Maul. "For the mean time, their have been rumors that there are not just humans settling in this planet. But also strange creatures that live in the lakes and swamps. My commanding battle droids shall go with you to wipe them all out. His serial number is OOM-9 if you must know. Quite a fierce commander."

Staring Nute Gunray straight to his eyes, Darth Maul replied, "You must understand at this very moment that even though my master has sent me here to guard his interests, I am no slave of yours. Do not be mistaken, Viceroy. Even though if I serve another, I am still one of the Sith Lords, and none of my order are in your servitude." Stepping one step closer, he then continued, "Even though these 'strange creatures' you speak of might be your first priority here now that the major resistance has been defeated, it is not my nor my master's first priority. I do well understand the importance of your petty", he spit the words out of his mouth, "treaty with the princess, and my mission will wait until then. But not until the two Jedi who have been informed to be guarding the princess are dead."
He nodded, as if to his own reasoning, saying, "And there is something else. There will be a small child - a boy, of human descendant - with them. It is clear that he is somehow important to the Jedi, or so my master has perceived, and that child is to end up into my hands. He is not to be killed, Viceroy - these are the words of my master. The price for this child's life will be dear and YOU will be the one paying it." He glanced at the droids, saying, "Do we have an agreement now, my dear Viceroy?" with a hint of ironical smile on his lips.

Nute began to fear his words, he had not expected this at all. The sith were indeed hard to co-operate with, and like the jedi, not to be underestimated. "Yes Lord Maul of course. "We shall take care of our rumored threat right away. And I shall capture the boy once he is present." Nute agreed.
"Do we have an agreement now, my dear Viceroy?"
Nute looked back at his niemoidien advisers behind him. Then back at Mauul. "Yes Lord Maul. We shall agree to your demands." Nute said with a hint of fear.

Darth Maul stared at Nute, some of the anger still remaining, and finally nodded slightly. "Then I will consider this matter to be over and trust that there is no need to discuss about this anymore?" After a short silence he nodded again, saying, "Now, is there any news about princess or her bodyguards?" he asked. "I trust that if you haven't already found out where they are hiding, you're going to find them soon enough, no?"
